Dear Heather:
Thank you very much for all that you have done for me these past months. Your visits have meant a lot to me and I look forward to them each week. Just being able to escape the confines of my building for a short time is good, but being able to spend that time talking to you is even better. You always manage to put a smile on my face and I am in a better mood after your visits. I get letters from my family back home, but having an actual face-to-face visit is a big boost for my state of mind. I have said many times to many people that what we do in this place is not living, it is existing. Well, thanks to you every Wednesday I get to live again during these always too brief visits. I get to forget a little about my circumstances and just talk to someone about normal everyday things. I get a chance to feel like a normal person again. It is a great thing you are doing and I truly appreciate it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Yours, Justin. (USA – Bangkok Special Remand Prison – 2013)
